23. Premium

Users can subscribe to the platform for a premium membership. Premium membership can include discounts, priority access to certain features or time-bound lock-outs, currency or XP boosts, and more. This subscription has a certain price. This is another useful monetization feature for every platform, providing a steady source of revenue for the platform host.

Below you can find an overview of all the perks a premium member could receive when subscribing to a premium membership.

Clicking the ‘cog’ icon:

; will allow you to submit numerical details to the premium membership perks.

Besides discounts and other perks related to numerical values. We also provide visual components for Premium users:

• Name tag: Give the premium user a specific name tag.

• Profile border: Give the premium member a custom profile border

• Premium logo: Upload a custom logo for premium members

Add a new Premium package

We suggest having a multitude of different premium packages.

Ex: Bronze, Silver, Gold.

You can add a new premium package by clicking the ‘+Add premium package’ button:

The following screen will appear:

Name: Submit a name for the premium package. Description: Provide a description for the premium package. Fortumo ServiceId: Enter the required Fortumo data whenever Fortumo has been set up as a payment integration. Tangerine Packname: Enter the required Tangerine data whenever Tangerine has been set up as a payment integration. Note: more information about payment integrations can be found here.

Monthly subscription: Enter the price to bill the user on a monthly basis. No monthly option available if left empty. Yearly subscription: Enter the price to bill the user on a yearly basis. No yearly option available if left empty. Currency: Select the currency need to use for payment. Enable a free trail period: Enable a trial period for the premium package. Every premium package can be edited or deleted via the Premium package overview:

Premium package give-a-ways

Admins can select a user to gift them a premium membership:

Via Control Panel → User management → Premium subscribers.

Here you can see an overview of the different premium packages and which members are subscripted to which package.

To give away a premium package to a user, click the ‘+ Give subscription’ button:

The following screen will appear:

Package: Select the package you want to hand out.

Username: Select the user to which you want to award the premium package.
