7. General
This is the first tab on the control panel, allowing you to share necessary information to all users and administrators that have access to the control panel of the platform.

Welcome
Enter any piece of text to welcome all users of the control panel. The text in this field is supported by markdown*
Markdown is a lightweight markup language that you can use to add formatting elements to plaintext text documents.
Ex: A text written with the markdown method, both the output and input.

When you click the pencil icon, you can insert the text you wish to display on the general tab by using the markdown method. You can do this in multiple languages.

Feature notes
This tab offers you an overview of all the feature notes released thus far.
Site status
Inform the users about the status of the platform: online/offline and additional information.
Ex: Site status input
Fill in the message you want to share with the users of the platform.

Logo
Add and edit your logo on the top left corner of the webpage.
Loading icon - dark | Upload an icon or animation to display when loading - in dark version |

Logo height | Adjust the height of your desktop logo, in pixels. |

Top bar - accent border | Choose whether or not you want to display an additional accent border above the top bar. |

Connect your platform to multiple social network services
Ex: The socials tab
Discord URL | Adds the Discord icon and link to the bottom right of the composer page - enter Discord URL. |
Facebook page URL | Adds the Facebook icon and link to the bottom right of the composer page - enter Facebook URL |
Instagram page URL | Adds the Instagram icon and link to the bottom right of the composer page - enter Instagram URL |
Twitch Channel URL | Adds the Twitch icon and link to the bottom right of the composer page - enter Twitch URL |

Settings
In this section, you are required to submit all general information about your company to link the platform to your own domain.
Ex: The settings tab
Company name | Connect the name of your company to the platform, this is used when users consent to the privacy policy |
Default platform language | Sets a language of your choice as the default language for your platform |
FAQ | Grants the users of your platform access to an FAQ service provided by you. |
Favicon for the platform | Upload your personalised icon to the platform. |
Feature suggestions | Allow the users of your platform to provide you with feedback and suggestions on existing and new features. |
Linked Brand ID | Link your own brand to post content on the social feed. More info on how to add a certain brand as a partner, can be found here. |
Linked Brand Name | Submit the name of the brand. |
Platform name | Determines the official name of your platform |
Platform background | Upload the image of your choice to set as a background. |
SEO description | Descriptions for your platform in order to be found more easily by search engines. |
SEO Image | Connect an image to the results displayed when searching the platform with a search engine |
SEO Title | Give a name to your platform’s display affected by the SEO |
Theming | When toggled off, this removes the option for users of the platform to engage another theme. For light mode and for dark mode |
Multi-language
The platform is translated into multiple languages, being: Dutch, English, French, and German for now. More information on how to set up general language on the platform can be found here:
General automatic translations
All fixed and general text on the platform can be automatically translated into any of the above languages. These can be easily changed via the profile menu:
Manual translations
User-generated text can also be translated but requires a manual translation of the input. These fields are marked with the multi-language icon:
To add the translation, click the multi-language icon. The following screen should appear:
The language at the top is the default selected language, as selected in the profile menu. Which is set to English in this case. In the fields below, you can add the respective translations in Dutch, French, and German. When all of these are translated, these user-generated text fields will automatically change to the manual translation whenever you change the language via the language options in the account menu.
